The Child Welfare League of America (CLWA), Washington DC. CWLA is a powerful coalition of hundreds of private and public agencies serving vulnerable children and families since 1920. CWLA’s expertise, leadership and innovation on policies, programs, and practices help improve the lives of millions of children in all 50 states. The CWLA’s impact is felt worldwide. The CWLA published Children and Residential Experiences (CARE): Creating Conditions for Change, written by Martha J. Holden the Director of the Residential Child Care Project.

BILD is the British Institute of Learning Disabilities. BILD’s mission is to promote a society in which people with learning disabilities are valued equally, participate fully in their communities and are treated with dignity and respect. BILD services help develop the organizations who provide services, and the people who give support. This ensures that BILD plays a part in making sure people are supported with dignity and respect and can make choices and decisions about their lives. BILD provides its members get the latest news in learning disabilities. BILD also campaigns for proper funding for support for people with learning disabilities and their family carers, and against bad practice.

The Child Abuse Prevention Network is the worldwide Internet nerve center for professionals in the field of child abuse and neglect. Child maltreatment, physical abuse, psychological maltreatment, neglect, sexual abuse, and emotional abuse and neglect are primary areas of concern. The Network provides unique and powerful tools for all workers to support the identification, investigation, treatment, adjudication, and prevention of child abuse and neglect. Originally launched as an outreach effort of the Family Life Development Center (now the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research) at Cornell University, the Child Abuse Prevention Network is sponsored by LifeNET, Inc.
